A Final Drive in Big Bend

Another good day for a jeep.

The River Road from Rio Grande Village to Solis

An old homesite by what is still a spring.

One of the rocks exposed sports a fossilized shell.

A place so remote that jackrabbits don't know to be afraid of people and run.

Solis Primitive Camp

Several horses were grazing. You can just see them through the bush. They were not going to let people get close enough to catch them. There was pasture with fencing across the river so I'm pretty sure these are "illegal alien" horses.

We saw these flowering bushes at just one spot on the river road.

Glenn Spring Road

Old fence and homesite and Glenn Spring

The Chisos

The road ends at the base of Nugent Mountain

Travel Scenes - April/May 2016

Oil Country, Texas/New Mexico Border - Highway 285

Trailer for sale or rent . . .

 Burning off the gas.

New Mexico Highway 285 - Roswell to Santa Fe

On I-25 south of Raton

Raton Pass and into Colorado

We found it through RVparkreviews.com but the website says "No camping". I'm not sure if that's new or if we just did not look.

The highlight of the facility is the historic carousel.

And then there was Kansas, followed by Missouri

In a Camping World on the outskirts of Kansas City.

??

And here we are passed by a bus of a Chinese touring dance ensemble.

 The calm before the storm.
