Coquille Point

Pictures from the Coquille Point Wildlife Area, 07/06/07.
View south, the beach down the cliff from the Beach Loop Drive.
You can't really see from this picture, but the rocks are a nesting place for many species of birds. Did you know that there are multiple breeds of cormorants?
A beautiful day. You can't tell that we're almost getting blown off the cliff.
View north: Bandon Jetty, Bullard's Beach & Whiskey Run beach, and Coos Head in the distance.
Board walk down to the beach from the parking area.

Evening Thunder Clouds

Pictures take at 9 p.m. and it's still 93 degrees outside. No rain yet, and no lightning striking nearby though the lights have blinked a few times. This picture is made from the front of the house, looking toward the east.
And below from the back, looking west.
