The Top of the World

At least it felt like the top of the world.

We were fortunate enough to visit Rocky Mountain National Park last week just days before the Trail Ridge Road closed for the season.  Up on top it was cold and windy, and did I mention cold and windy and there wasn't enough air?  I mostly limited my snapshots to recording the drive, while Tom ventured farther afield with a real camera.

The road summit (coming and going) is at 12,184' above sea level.

Fall colors.

Fall Creek, near the campground bearing its name.

Estes Park was celebrating the annual "Elk Festival".   These attendees were nearby.

More to enjoy from Tom:

Higher and higher.

And down again.

testing. Accepting 3rd-party cookies, while logged in to exactly one Google account. It did make me re-login to Google, but did accept my re-login.

Weird. It lost my comment, but now it knows I am logged in as Ineedorange (though it didn't make me re-log-in, as it did the first time I turned on 3rd-party cookies).

Still in the "signed on to two Google accounts, 3rd-party cookies turned on" state.

If you use "anonymous" just leave your name as well. I wonder if the name/url option will work?
