Gettysburg Battlefield



First I need to tell you: a Friday in late May is probably not the best time to visit this historic site. So many school busses full of middle-schoolers on field trips. To start the visitor center was nearly impassable, and then they all hit the road. We took pains to avoid the busses as much as possible.


There are too many monuments to photograph and include them all. You certainly get a feeling for the incredible loss of life which occurred here, especially among the Confederate troops. I wonder if any of my forebears were here.
