Nostalgia . . .

You know how they say time speeds up as you get older?

Umm, yeah.

Forty years. How on earth did that happen? We have been here in Oregon nearly 30 years; twenty-one years in this house. The second two decades gone by in the blink of an eye compared to the first two.

The number one song on our wedding day was #5: The Bee Gees "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart?".

I have to disagree with Andy Williams #72 Love Story theme: sometimes love means being mature enough to say you're sorry.  After all, #41 I never promised you a rose garden. But #47 that's the way I always heard it should be.

Tom asked that I not embarrass him with this post.  To which I say from 1970:
And you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world.
Happy Anniversary.

One for each and every year.

Perfect

After Sunday's show, Jamie and Catherine and I gave Kady, her brother Hiro, and their grandma Phoebe some beach time.

Hiro taking Jamie for a run.

Phoebe has always loved the beach.

Kady, Hiro, Ocean, and Stick

We spent quality time lying in the warm sand . . .

. . . and watching the tide come in.

Safe and warm and sleepy cuddled against the Mom

In show news for the weekend: Kady was Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite both days to bring her to six points with a major. Pilot was Best of Breed both days and Group 3 on Sunday. Pilot's son Brewer was Winners Dog and Best of Winners.

I was in group along with Mandy and Pilot on Sunday, showing a Vallhund girl who took breed from the classes. Champoeg Hildegarrd is a Hank/Nikki daughter so I am technically her co-breeder. She was a good girl in group, as long as Cheri stayed out of sight!
