Ground Squirrel Day

Day after day, week after week, what do we have? Alternating socked-in fog or clouds and rain. No sun, no shadows. But today, what do we wake up to?

A beautiful sunrise.  That's correct: sun-rise.  The girls went out to check . . .
They looked and they looked, but they could find no groundhogs.  I had to break the disappointing news to them that groundhogs do not live in Oregon.

Today's fog was restricted to a narrow swath along the Rogue River.

And there it is.  Six more weeks of winter.

But on the positive side: when I left work a little after 5:30 there was still color in the sky.  The worst is over, and spring will come again.
